Weekly Jewelry DIY Round-Up

Just Bead It Necklace by CosmoGirl

Super easy, and you could change up the beads/ribbon to any color you like. I'd probably go for a black and gold/silver combo.

Studded Duct Tape Bracelet by Cut Out and Keep

This is too cool! It's made out of little studs and duct tape!

Sapphire Hoops from Jewelry Supply

A classic earring shape. These would also make great gifts.

HUGE Roundup of DIY Christmas Present Ideas!

Ok, so it's almost too late to order something online and have it get here by Christmas, but don't panic, my little procrastinators! I've gathered some of my favorite jewelry DIYs, and they'd all make fabulous gifts. And everyone loves a handmade gift, so it's a win-win!

I've ranked them with the easiest first, and the hardest toward the end.

Golden Paperclip Necklace by Crafty Habit

Paperclips!! I had to do a doubletake, I couldn't believe that paperclips could look so fancy. I think this necklace idea would be cool, too, if you substituted paperclips with jumprings. It'd be a little smaller, but it could look awesome.

Button Earrings by Frock Paper Scissors

Now you know what to do with all of those cool buttons you've been collecting, or that you see at the thrift store! Or is that just me? Either way, these are adorable!

DIY Braided Pearl Necklace

DIY Braided Pearl Necklace

I was strolling through Michael's when I came across a whole wall of lovely, different colored pearls:

This whole pack was only $3.99, and really pretty!

I decided to make a big, braided necklace, and got 3 packs.

Step 1 to your lovely braided pearl necklace: The strand comes on plastic string, so get them all together and tie them to a jump ring.

Step 2: Braid!

Step 3: Attach another jump ring to a clasp (I used a lobster clasp).

Step 4: Tie the ends of the plastic string to the jump ring like in Step 1.

And you're done! Easy peasy!

How has no one thought of this before? It's like swiffers or the snuggie - amazing!

We all know how jewelry DIY's generally turn out: badly.

It's That Time Again...

Whenever fall comes around, I always catch crafting fever.

One of the Great Unsolved Mysteries of Our Time

Jewelry storage. How do you keep your jewelry organized, easily accessible, visible, and all in a chic way? Even though I'm the jewelrywhore, don't look to me for the answer to this one, because I don't have it! Believe me, I've tried and failed and crafted and almost lost my marbles over this. Since I have enough jewelry to literally fill a medium-sized store, I thought I was alone in this dilemma; I am not. Seems most everyone with a decent-sized collection is suffering from what-the-frick-do-I-do-with-all-of-my-jewelry-itis. Fear not, fellow jewelrywhores.
