What do you think?

My First Style Post...Be Kind!

So I decided that I needed to do some style posts, some what-I-wore posts. Mainly because I call myself the JewelryWhore, so let's see some jewelry in action, right?!

But here's the thing - I'm reallllly camera shy... So please be kind when you let me know what you think!

This was my Valentine's Day outfit. We went to a shmancy restaurant and ate too much.

Necklace: Gold halo by Edor * Silver cuff is actually pewter and was my great-aunt's (her initials are engraved on it) * Ring: Jamie Joseph * Bracelets: Michelle Chang Baby skull bangle, victorian gold-link bracelet, Graham leather wrap bracelet by Gorjana & vermeil and diamond bangle (forgot who the designer was, but I got it at Dilsey Coal)

Whew. So there we go. What do you guys think - would you like to see more posts like this? I'd love to know what you think! Thanks in advance!

VMAs Reviewed: Weird, Classy, and Scary

First off, let me just say that I haven't watched the VMAs in years, but did last nite so as to bring you my sparkling commentary on the jewels of the evening. Well, you guys owe me one, because watching the VMAs made me feel REALLY OLD. Like, oohh, 82 or so?? Honestly, I knew who maybe 1/4 of the presenters were, and everybody looked like they were 12 and I was so confused and felt like an old, old fart. THANKS.

;) That being said, here are the jewels!

Jennifer Lopez

Earrings are very cool. And I'm pretty sure they're by Loree Rodkins Lorraine Schwartz (via).

Please don't ask me what I think about her velvet mostrosity of a dress.

Amber Rose (with her asshat of a boyfriend)

Um. Er. Ehh. Her ring is cool/she scares me.

Kristen Whatshername

Earrings are cool, but that bracelet is wicked. Maybe it's a Kenneth Jay Lane?

Beyonce

Men's Watches Conundrum: Pretentious Jackass or Appreciative Hard-Worker?

There's a bit of a jewelry dispute going on in my house. Well, a man-jewelry dispute to be more specific.

Fabric Jewelry: Love It or Leave It?

Up until recently I've always thought that fabric jewelry was hippydippytrippycrap. BUT, I've had an epiphany, have seen the error of my ways, and YES, SWEET JEEBUS, I have been redeemed!

What's Your Signature?

Your signature piece of jewelry. That one item that everyone knows you for, that you wear every day. And when you don't wear it one day, you freak out because you think you've lost it. It's my humble opinion that everyone needs a signature piece - something that they love so much that they can wear it every day without getting tired of it, something that makes them happy every time they look at it. I've kinda already blogged about my signature piece: my Jamie Joseph ring, which I honest-to-goodness wear every day. And it makes me happy every time I look at it!
